One of the most popular Flemish (Belgium) children's pop groups K3 were complete again last weekend after a TV extravaganza finale covering Belgium and the Netherlands.

The search accross Belgium and The Netherlands was already going on for some months in a reality TV show, "K2 searches K3".

The mission?

To choose the newest member of K3 after the departure of Kathleen Aerts (the blonde) earlier this year to persue her solo career.

After her departure, Kathleen Aerts has reveiled some interesting facts in her book, My life as K1. K3 turns out to be a well oiled marketing machine (no, really?), Kathleen said in an online interview.

What is also reveiled is that K3 is not only performing for kids, but also to turn daddies on. "Gert Verhulst (manager/owner) said K3 had to wear short skirts. "Dads have to get something from a performance as well". Verhulst is co-owner of Studio 100, a multi-million dollar company specialized in kids entertainment.

Founded in the late nineties, K3, the name of the group is derived from the names of the original three singers: Karen Damen, Kristel Verbeke and Kathleen Aerts. Kathleen Aerst has been replaced by Dutch Josje Huisman.
